HistorieAalborg on Arkivstræde 1 is a joint venture between Aalborg Stadsarkiv, the local collections of Aalborg Libraries, and the Historical Museum of Northern Jutland. The reading room brings together archive records, photos, audio files and film from the city archive, local-history literature, and the Danish Emigration Archives - Denmark's national archive for emigration. Visitors can search databases such as Mediestream and Nordjyske's newspaper archive, and get guidance on genealogy and local history. Events throughout the year include city walks, lectures, workshops and a historical book fair.
