About the venue

Granly Hockey Arena - also known as Esbjerg Skøjtehal - is an ice hockey arena on Gl. Vardevej in Esbjerg with a capacity of around 4,200, making it the third largest of its kind in Denmark. It opened in 1974 and serves as the home ground for Esbjerg Energy in the Metal Ligaen. Beyond hockey, the arena has hosted major international curling events, including the 2011 World Women's Curling Championship and the 2015 European Curling Championships. Public skating sessions are held most Sundays and during school holidays throughout the winter season.
