Private tour from 2nd basin, approximately 2 hours. Sailed by: HC and HRH
A private harbour tour around Esbjerg with commentary on the port and Wadden Sea National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Esbjerg Havn was established in 1868 as Denmark's replacement for the port of Altona, lost after the Second Schleswig War. Once home to around 600 fishing cutters, it has since transformed into Denmark's leading offshore port and one of the world's largest export hubs for wind turbines. More than 200 companies employing some 10,000 people are based on the site, which covers over 4.5 km², and around 6,000 vessels call at the port each year.
