Sound of Sewing
An outdoor performance where artists transform recycled clothing into art with audience participation. Part of Copenhagen Street Theatre Festival, free for all ages.
Mimers Plads is a 6,680 m² public square next to Nørrebro Station in Copenhagen, opened in 2021 and designed by EFFEKT Arkitekter. Formerly known as Basargrunden, it is crossed daily by thousands of cyclists and pedestrians heading to the S-train and metro. Six large organically shaped planting beds give the square its structure, while the paving is made from recycled cobblestones and flagstones - some 100-150 years old - drawn from the City of Copenhagen's materials reuse store.
