Pumpehuset is a concert venue on Studiestræde in Copenhagen, housed in the former engine hall of the city's first waterworks, which dates back to 1856. It opened as a music venue in 1987 and relaunched in 2011 with a profile centred on urban subcultures - hiphop, death metal, drum'n'bass and techno among them. The two indoor stages, Kransalen (600 standing) and Sort Sal (400 standing), are joined in summer by the outdoor stage Byhaven, which offers free admission.
