Refshaleøen is a former industrial island in Copenhagen Harbour, home to the Burmeister & Wain shipyard from 1872 until its closure in 1996. The area has since been transformed and now holds concert venues, art galleries, gourmet restaurants and sports facilities. Since 2018 it has been the site of Reffen, Northern Europe's largest street food market. The island also hosts the annual heavy metal festival Copenhell and a range of other events throughout the year.
