Store Sal is the centrepiece of the cultural house Vartov near Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen - a listed building that once served as a hospital, where N.F.S. Grundtvig spent his last 33 years as a priest. The 150 m² hall features broad plank floors and large paintings by Arne Haugen Sørensen covering all the walls. The room also holds a grand piano and the lectern "Vintræet" by Anny Christiane Millior Berntsen, who also created the lectern in the Danish Parliament. It hosts lectures, conferences and receptions for up to 150 guests.
