Olivier Antunes Trio - Tribute To All The Great Jazz Piano Players

Danish-French pianist Olivier Antunes leads a trio celebrating the great piano names of jazz history. Antunes studied at Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium, works as an organist at Elias Church in Copenhagen, and received the Ben Webster Prize in 1999. He has previously performed with Jesper Thilo, Mads Vinding, and Alex Riel.

The trio interprets well-known jazz standards in their own arrangements based on the classic piano trio format from the 1960s. Inspiration comes from pianists such as Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Phineas Newborn Jr., Ahmad Jamal, Herbie Hancock, and Keith Jarrett.
