Maternity Event: First Aid - Baby and Care

On Thursday, 26 November 2026, 10:00-12:00, Sundby Library holds a first aid course for parents in Glassalen on the 1st floor of Kvarterhuset. The instructor is John Petersen, owner and instructor at Simpel Førstehjælp, with over 20 years of experience in life-saving first aid and fire prevention, plus 24 years in ambulance services.

The course, titled Baby and Care, covers practical topics: home safety, airway obstruction during the transition from liquid to porridge and solid food, febrile convulsions and illnesses, foreign objects in ears, nose and eyes, burns and scalds, chemicals and poisonous plants, bumps and concussion, nosebleeds, and tooth damage to both baby teeth and permanent teeth. Exercises are performed on baby dolls designed specifically for this purpose.

Participation costs 75 kr. per adult, and tickets are purchased on this page. Tickets cannot be refunded or moved to another date. If you do not wish to participate in the course, there is as always on Thursday mornings the opportunity for play and socializing with your baby in the Flexroom on the 2nd floor. Prams are parked outside Kvarterhuset.

The event is part of the library's regular postnatal mornings.
