Christmas Plants - A Family Guided Tour at the Botanical Garden — Botanisk Have, Copenhagen

Christmas is full of traditions, many of them connected to specific plants, spices, and fruits. On this family tour, we explore the Palmehouse and discover the plants behind the traditions - why do we eat rice pudding with cinnamon sugar, where does the custom of kissing under mistletoe come from, are there fig wasps in the dried figs on the Christmas table, and which plant gives the vanilla to rice pudding?

The tour lasts 1.5 hours and is aimed at adults with children - recommended from age 7, but everyone is welcome. There is room for up to 25 participants. The ticket also includes free entry to one separate visit to the Palmehouse the same day during normal opening hours.

Meeting point is the main entrance to the Botanical Garden near Nørreport Station (Gothersgade 128). The ticket must be shown upon arrival, and the tour starts on time - it is not possible to join after departure. Please note that access to parts of the Palmehouse is currently limited due to renovation, and wheelchair users unfortunately cannot participate, as the route goes up stairs in the listed Palmehouse and on stone mounds in the garden.

Tickets cannot normally be exchanged or refunded. If the event is cancelled, notification will be sent by email from Billetto, and the ticket price will be refunded automatically.
