Forest Walk: Stories of Plants and the Magic of Nature
Herfølge Bibliotek, Herfølge · 25 kr. · ≈ 3.3 €
We meet in front of a bonfire at Påskebjerghytten before nature guide Signe Friis Jørgensen leads us under the tree canopy. The walk ends back at the bonfire with readings, warm herbal tea, and small bonfire snacks inspired by old folk wisdom and wise women's traditions. Remember to dress warmly - autumn cold cannot be wished away.
The event is for adults.
Hexedage in October
Throughout October, a series of events focuses on the many meanings of the witch - as primal force, persecuted figure, wisdom keeper, nature expert, and symbol of resistance.
Hexedage has been created with awareness of the Køge Huskors witch trials, which took place 400 years ago and were among the country's most extensive, with around fifteen women as victims. The events explore the witch figure in past and present: the knowledge associated with witches today, and how we can care for each other and our surroundings.
Hexedage has been created by KøgeBibliotekerne, Teaterbygningen, and Køge Arkiverne in collaboration with Køge Museum, Ungekulturhuset Tappen, Køge Kunstforening, and other cultural actors in Køge Municipality.
