How do bacteria communicate with each other - and what can they teach us about disease, cooperation, and life's big questions? This is the question that has become Fatima AlZahra'a Alatraktchi's life's work.

Fatima is a lecturer in translational biomedicine at Roskilde University and internationally recognized for her research. She has been featured on Forbes' list of Europe's most influential young scientists in health, her TEDx Talk about bacteria has been viewed by millions, and recently she received 11 million kr. from the Lundbeck Foundation to develop a diagnostic tool.

Born in Kuwait, with roots in Iraq and Lebanon and raised in Copenhagen, she weaves her personal story together with the narrative of bacteria's hidden life - and shows how even the smallest organisms struggle with communication, survival, and conflict, just as we do.

The event is part of Køge Libraries' series "Where do you come from?" about cultural diversity and representation of ethnic minorities.
