First aid - For Babies & Children: CPR and choking (in English)

This English-language course teaches first aid for babies and children aged 0-8 years. The course runs on Tuesday, 27 October from 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM (3 hours including a short break) at Prismen, Holmbladsgade. A second session runs the same day from 9:45 AM to 12:45 PM.

The programme covers the four steps of first aid: assessing consciousness and breathing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for babies (0-12 months) and children (1-8 years), recovery position, AED use, and prevention and management of choking - all with thorough practical training in small groups using specialist Junior and Baby manikins. The course also covers signs of serious infection, falls, burns, poisoning, and febrile seizures.

Registration is per adult (18+). Babies aged 0-12 months may be brought along at no extra cost. Couples purchase one full-price ticket and one discounted partner ticket. Registration is binding. Bring a yoga mat or similar, plus food and drink. It is recommended to download the free QCPR app from Laerdal (available in Google Play and App Store) before the course.
