Camerata Øresund is a baroque ensemble founded in 2010 by violinist Peter Spissky, drawing its musicians from both sides of the Øresund strait - southern Sweden and eastern Denmark. Playing on period instruments without a conductor, the group has built a reputation for energetic performances and for unearthing rare repertoire, including a previously unknown Vivaldi concerto. Their annual Baroktoberfest festival at KoncertKirken in Copenhagen mixes baroque music with folk music, communal dining and dance. The ensemble records for Channel Classics Records and is regularly broadcast on Danish Radio.
The album 'In Wilhelmine's Footsteps: Music of the Bayreuth Court' reached classical bestseller lists in summer 2025 on Channel Classics Records.
