What Happens to Your Waste? Behind the Scenes at Tandskov Waste Centre - Skraldival

Most people never think about what actually happens to their waste once it leaves the bin or recycling centre. Tandskov Affaldscenter is the waste "departure terminal" in Silkeborg Municipality - here all collected waste is processed with large machinery before being sent further into the system.

The guided tour of the approximately 20-hectare site begins at 17:30. Afterwards there are free hot dogs at the hot dog stand, and the recycled building materials market is open until 20:00.

The event is part of Skraldival, an annual festival in week 38 focused on waste minimization and reuse. The festival is organized by Silkeborg Municipality, Silkeborg Forsyning, and Silkeborg Libraries. Read more at www.silkeborgbib.dk/skraldival
