Maren Uthaug discusses her speculative fiction trilogy, with the final book - "1%" - releasing in September 2026. The two previous novels are "11%" and "88%".

Uthaug shares the ideas behind the trilogy's speculative world: a matriarchal society where female orgasms are considered mental hygiene, and everything connected to men is unsettling and repulsive. "11%" earned her the Golden Laurels award, and both novels won the Mofibo Awards' Novel of the Year title two years in a row - a success that has also brought hostile messages and long signing queues at literary events.
