Author Evening: Niels Krause-Kjær
Hovedbiblioteket, Viborg · 150 kr. · ≈ 20 €
Niels Krause-Kjær's novel "Ude for uden" is based on a travel journal kept by his father and his father's folk high school friends over half a century - a book Krause-Kjær discovered in the Danish National Archives. The novel portrays Denmark at a turning point: two generations who witnessed rural culture disappear, the city celebrated, and the provinces forgotten.
Krause-Kjær is an independent journalist and author who has spent many years giving lectures on media, politics, and his own writing. In January 2025, he received De Gyldne Laurbær - the booksellers' literary prize - for this very novel.
The lecture is arranged in collaboration between Viborg Libraries, Viborg Folk University, and Viborg Folk High School Association.
