The Meaningful Life in Nature

Holstebro Folkeuniversitet opens Vidensfestival 2026 with a guided nature walk at Flyndersø in one of Western Jutland's heathland areas. Participants explore what a meaningful life means.

The walk is led by nature guides Sanne Staal and Bo Boysen, each bringing their own approach to nature. The route covers approximately 4 kilometres on forest roads and paths at a normal pace, so bring sturdy footwear and coffee. Meeting point is at the entrance to Frilandsmuseet Hjerl Hede.

This walk is the first event in Vidensfestival 2026, whose theme is "The Meaningful Life". The festival examines the question from multiple perspectives - philosophy, literature and theology - and also returns to ancient concepts on the subject.

Ticket costs 50 kr. Folkeuniversitetet's regular customers and students can collect free tickets. Purchase via holstebrofolkeuniversitet.dk. The event is a collaboration between Holstebro Folkeuniversitet and Holstebro Bibliotek.
