The Meaningful Life According to Theology

The Meaningful Life According to Theology: Wednesday 18 November 2026, 18:30–20:30, Holstebro Bibliotek, Holstebro. Admission is free.

We live in an age marked by the pursuit of peak experiences and constant self-evaluation - a culture where the right choices are meant to secure a meaningful life across work, family, and leisure. But what does this actually do to us, and does the church have anything to contribute?

Dean Birgitte Graakjær Hjort of Aarhus Cathedral takes the temperature of our time and considers what shapes us, often without our conscious awareness.

This event is part of Vidensfestival 2026 - The Meaningful Life, where Holstebro Folkeuniversitet focuses on one of life's great existential questions. The theme is explored from multiple disciplines, including philosophy, literature, and theology, and the festival also returns to ancient concepts of meaning.

Ticket price: 50 kr. Folkeuniversitet members and students can collect free tickets via holstebrofolkeuniversitet.dk. The event is a collaboration between Holstebro Folkeuniversitet and Holstebro Bibliotek.
