Every Second Counts - Anders J. Andersen: Tuesday 3 November 2026, 19:00–21:00, Vordingborg Bibliotek, Vordingborg. Admission is free.

"Every Second Counts" is Anders J. Andersen's personal account of the years following a serious accident he suffered at age seven. The book alternates between childhood memories and reflections on the welfare state, describing with both humor and gravity the five years he spent in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities far from home.

Born in 1962 and raised on a farm on Møn, Anders J. Andersen is a lawyer who previously served as head of section at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office and as a disability advisor to the Parliamentary Ombudsman. Since the late 1980s, he has been active in disability policy and has held positions of trust in disability organizations locally, nationally, and internationally. Today he sits on the municipal council in Vordingborg Municipality. "Every Second Counts" is his first book.
