Nasi Habibi was born in Afghanistan and spent most of her life fleeing - from Afghanistan to Pakistan, then Iran, and finally to Denmark. Throughout her childhood, she lived in a male-dominated society marked by violence, rape, and humiliation, with a father who struggled to provide care. At 16, she was married off to a man of 45, and before she turned 20, she had three children.

When life became unbearable, she fled to Denmark with her children - but the new life brought new challenges. Other Afghan refugees would not accept her as a single woman, and difficult years followed. Later she met a Danish man she felt safe with; today they are married and have a son together.

The lecture is about never giving up, about listening to your heart when everyone says otherwise, and about what it takes to be a trailblazer.
