Open Conference Day on Young People's Reader Identity — Horsens Bibliotek, Horsens

The LÆS! Conference 2026 explores what it means to be a young reader today. The day examines reading diversity: which communities and role models do 12-18-year-olds have access to, which reader types are overlooked, and how can adults help young people find and strengthen their own reader identity?

The conference features talks by Sarah Bro Trasmundi (Syddansk Universitet) on comics as literature, the podcast "Rappernes bogklub" presented by three Aarhus rappers (Søren Karim Bech, Christian Mølgaard, Sean-Poul de Fré Gress), and author Lea Fløe Christensen on finding your own reading taste. Young people from local book clubs will discuss community, identity, and prejudice.

Schedule: 9:00-9:30 arrival and light breakfast; 12:15-13:00 lunch (vegetarian); 13:30-14:00 coffee and cake.

Tickets are sold through Horsens Ny Teater. Payment by EAN should be arranged with Anita Lund (lund@hnt.dk). Ticket sales close 15 October.
