Archive Evening 2026 - Sources, Archive, Work: Thursday 19 November 2026, 17:30–20:30, Hald Hovedgård, Viborg. Tickets cost 100 kr.

On Thursday, November 19, 2026, the second Archive Evening takes place at Hald Hovedgård - a recurring event presenting two very different approaches to the archive's possibilities.

Jeppe Barnwell has worked with the Seeberg Archive at Hald Hovedgård in connection with the critical edition of Peter Seeberg's novels, short stories and prose (The Society for Danish Language and Literature / Gyldendal, 2017-2019). He discusses working with sources, the archive, and the literary work. William Eglite bases his artistic practice on large quantities of collected material: he has created works based on discarded audio files from the Jutland Music Conservatory, published a book consisting of train tickets, and in Reading the Wind (Arkhest, 2025) he treats all the world's winds in literary form. He speaks about the archive and the already existing as a foundation for artistic work.

The evening's menu - like in 2025 - is inspired by Peter Seeberg's short story "Indication of a Point in Time (19 Nov. 1927)" and features liver pâté, cold pork, potatoes and cheese followed by a ring-shaped pastry. Local wine is served.
