The library's staff host a cosy Christmas gathering with mulled wine, gingerbread stars, and readings for adults. Bring your knitting or other crafts - they're welcome.

The event is free and requires no booking - just drop by. Bring your own cup, and the library will provide coffee and mulled wine.

About the venue: Horsens Bibliotek i MIDTEN

Horsens Bibliotek i MIDTEN is the city's new civic hub, opening on 30 November 2026 in the former town hall on Rådhustorvet. Alongside the library, the building brings together the citizen services centre, the Sund By health unit and the Centre for Communication and Technology - the municipality occupies roughly half of the building's approximately 15,000 square metres. The name MIDTEN reflects the ambition to create an open, communal gathering place at the centre of Horsens.
