Sofie Riis Endahl is 25 years old and publishes her ninth novel on September 7, 2026. Her books explore what it means to be young today, and with a degree in artificial intelligence, she writes about topics relevant to young people - including mental health and AI's role in everyday life.

In conversation with cultural mediator Sofie Binzer, Endahl discusses how these themes have shaped her writing.

The event takes place in Bibliotekssalen and is part of Mental Health Day - an international awareness day that focuses on mental health and works to break taboos around mental illness and wellbeing. Holstebro Library hosts the day in collaboration with Holstebro Municipality - Social Services, and in 2026 the focus is on young people's mental health.

About the venue: Holstebro Bibliotek

Holstebro Bibliotek is the main public library for Holstebro municipality, first opened in 1903 as "Holstebro og Omegns Folkebogsamling". The building covers 6,450 square metres across three floors and adjoins Holstebro Town Hall, with a distinctive exterior of rounded arches and towers. Between the library and the town hall lies Bibliotekssalen, a hall with a stage and tiered seating. Branch libraries are located in Ulfborg and Vinderup.
