Art Bubble - Comic Festival
Art Bubble comic festival takes place at Dokk1 on October 3-4, 10:00-16:00 both days. Admission is free. The festival is organized by Art Bubble in collaboration with Aarhus Libraries.
The weekend features live drawing, interviews, workshops, and the chance to meet comic creators from Denmark and Europe. Peter Madsen reads from Troldeliv and leads a Valhalla drawing workshop. Rasmus Klump celebrates his 75th birthday with readings from the very first story about the pancake-loving bear. On the drawing stage at Rampen, Thierry Capezzone - who has drawn Rasmus Klump for over 20 years - hosts a draw-along party for children and adults.
The festival also has an international programme. Italian Paola Antista presents her stories about Magiline, Tony Sandoval is known for his watercolour drawings for both young and old, and Giovanni Rigano has used the comic medium to depict refugee crises, climate disasters, and war. New this year is Belgian Jean-Pierre Talbot, who played Tintin in the first two live-action films about the iconic reporter.
