Kurinuki - Japanese Ceramic Technique

The course runs Friday 28 and Saturday 29 November 2026, 10:00-13:00, and introduces the kurinuki technique: you take a block of clay and carve and scrape the material from the inside until you have a bowl or cup with a raw, personal expression. Clay and tools are included.

The price is 575 kr. and covers the clay, but not glazing and firing. If you want your work glazed and fired, you pay for it afterwards - the staff at Keramikken will be happy to help with the glazing. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged.

The instructor is Signe Boisen, a trained ceramicist from the Royal Academy's glass and ceramics department on Bornholm and ceramics instructor at Godsbanen in Aarhus. Signe grew up in Haderslev.
