Depeche Mode's Music For The Masses lecture: Tuesday 28 September 2027, 19:30–21:30, Metronomen, Frederiksberg. Tickets cost 200 kr.

On September 28, 2027, it is 40 years since Depeche Mode released Music For The Masses. This milestone is celebrated with a lecture about the album - the period leading up to its release, the studio work on individual songs, and especially the sound the album ultimately achieved. The focus includes analog synthesizers and samplers, as well as inspiration from classical music, film scores, rock and roll, and other genres.

The lecture takes place on the 40th anniversary itself, September 28, 2027, at Metronomen in Frederiksberg. No music technology background is needed - everything is explained along the way with sound and images, including examples of the process from song to electronic arrangement to finished track. This makes it both a lecture and a kind of concert.
