Workshop: Scrapbooking with Your Holiday Memories

Scrapbooking has roots in 15th-century England, where scrapbooks contained letters, recipes, and poems. Today they are filled with photos, tickets, maps, menus, beer coasters, and everything else you bring home from a trip.

This Thursday, artist Jonna Fuglsang will guide you through techniques for creating your own scrapbook. Jonna Fuglsang is a self-taught visual artist with 20 years of experience in scrapbooking and is also a trained painter and color merchant. You will leave with a finished scrapbook.

The library provides tools and basic materials. You should bring:
• Photos from your holiday
• 'Scraps' such as tickets, coins, banknotes, maps, programmes, brochures, menus, beer coasters/place cards, leaves/twigs, newspaper clippings, or small souvenirs
• Optional notes about your holiday experiences

The event is for adults and takes place on the 1st floor - access is via stairs and elevator. Participation costs 40 kr.; tickets are purchased at the library or online. If the event is sold out, you can join the waiting list via Place2book. If you cannot attend, please cancel your ticket so the spot can be offered to others.

Parking: Limited-time parking is available on Storgade and the square. Disabled parking is available in several places on Storgade, including two spaces at Biblioteksporten entrance to Den Grønne Scene. Parking is also available at Munkevænget and at Holbergarkaden with entrance from Rolighedsvej.
