Birkerød Bibliotek is the main library of Rudersdal Bibliotekerne, situated on Stationsvej 38 close to Birkerød S-train station. The building complex - which also housed the former town hall - was designed by architects Ib and Jørgen Rasmussen and opened in 1980. The library has sections for adults and children and regularly hosts events, talks and courses. Outside staffed hours, self-service access is available, and meeting rooms can be booked by residents and local associations.

About: Klaus Mølmer

One of Denmark's leading theoretical physicists, Mølmer has shaped the field through the Mølmer-Sørensen gate, now used in top quantum computing labs worldwide. He is equally at home on stage as in the lab, translating the paradoxes of the quantum world into terms any curious mind can grasp.

Mølmer received the Carlsberg Foundation Research Prize 2025 for his groundbreaking research in theoretical quantum optics and quantum mechanics; the prize was presented by the Queen at a ceremony at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.
