Visit Vester Kløjs Library

Visit Vester Kløjs Library - family activities: 16 November – 21 February 2026, Birkerød Bibliotek, Birkerød.

Birkerød Library has been transformed into Vester Kløjs, the setting from DR's Christmas calendar "The Great Christmas Story". Like other Christmas calendars, the full story is not revealed all at once: from December 3rd, a secret door opens with more of the story.

Throughout December, you can meet characters from this year's Christmas calendar, try your hand at various creative projects, and make your own Vester Kløjs library card. The event is a collaboration with DR.

This year Birkerød has become Vester Kløjs, the town from DR's Christmas calendar "The Great Christmas Story". Rudersdal Municipality, local associations, cultural institutions, shops, and volunteers have come together to offer Christmas activities for the whole family and bring the story to life across Rudersdal.
