Jacob Kaarsbo

About

Jacob Kaarsbo is an independent security policy analyst and commentator specialising in the Middle East and geopolitical risk. He spent 15 years at the Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE), serving as head of Middle East analysis and deputy head of counter-terrorism, and has also worked for the UN and in EU institutions. Today he writes analysis for TV 2 and lectures on international security. In 2026 he co-authored "Undergravet", an intelligence-based assessment of the security threat posed by Trump's United States to Denmark and Europe.
