Birgitte Borup is an international commentator at the Danish newspaper Berlingske and one of Denmark's most prominent voices on American politics and culture. She previously worked as a journalist in New York and held senior editorial roles at DR Nyheder, TV 2 and Berlingske, including as foreign editor and culture editor. Since 2023 she has served as culture editor and editorial director at Berlingske, and she is a regular panellist on the TV 2 News programme 'Kampen om USA'. She was among the first Danish journalists to cover woke culture and identity politics as they crossed the Atlantic.
