Emma Pilgaard Quintet performs on Sunday, 13 September 2026 at 15:00 at Sønderborghus in Sønderborg as part of the release tour for the album "A Woman's Voice". Sønderborghus is centrally located by the harbour and houses a large hall regularly used for concerts and cultural events. Tickets cost 170 kr. Pilgaard presents vocal jazz and singer-songwriter music where improvisation meets clear melodies and lyrics function as small independent stories. This is one of four Danish dates on the tour, which also includes stops in Fredericia, Frederikshavn and Copenhagen.

Trained in Denmark and now based in Lithuania, Estonian pianist Rahel Talts leads an international quartet that has performed across Europe and Asia, blending folk-inflected melodies with jazz improvisation. Her four albums to date, including the 2025 release *Back and Forth*, have established her as one of the most active voices on the Nordic-Baltic jazz circuit.

About: Hilda Nordkvist

Malmö-based double bassist Hilda Nordkvist is one of the fresh faces on the Nordic jazz circuit - trained at Skurups folkhögskola and in demand from Aarhus Jazz Festival to Jazzklubben Underground in Lund. With Dubbeltrion she released a debut album in 2024 that drew five-star notices across the Nordic countries.
