Jacob Bellens

Jacob Bellens has always charted his own course - from a small village to stages around the world. He began writing songs as a teenager and has since made his mark with charismatic vocals and poetic lyrics.

On February 20, he releases the single "Din historie" (Your Story), marking the first time Bellens sings in Danish. After years of English-language releases and concerts abroad, he has turned his voice toward his native language. As he puts it: "I didn't have a voice that sang in Danish - I had to find it."

"Din historie" explores personal agency and restlessness - the experience of being in motion without knowing your destination. Sonically, the song is deliberately monochrome and monotone; it breaks with conventional verse-chorus structures and unfolds slowly in an almost meditative rock universe, where subtle instrumental shifts emerge only toward the end.
