RÆSON: Popular Uprising? With Christian Egander Skov

Christian Egander Skov, author of the 2022 essay collection "Borgerlig krise" (Bourgeois Crisis), enters the debate on populism with his new book "Folkeligt skal alt nu være. Et forsvar for vores folkestyre" (Everything Must Now Be Popular: A Defence of Our Democracy, 2026). His thesis is that democracy's crisis is not merely institutional but popular - and the conversation circles around questions such as: What is a people, really? What does popular mean? And is it something different today than in Grundtvig's time?

The conversation is moderated by RÆSON editor Janus Lauritsen, with time set aside for questions and debate with the audience. The event is part of Hovedbiblioteket's conversation series in collaboration with RÆSON and ÆRA, both of which offer special deals to the audience that evening.

The event takes place on Store Scene, 4th floor (room: LIVE). Entry is free with a ticket - seats cannot be reserved, and from certain seats the view of the stage is limited.

From Centralalsalen (entrance from Krystalgade) you reach the 4th floor via elevator, stairs or escalators to the 3rd floor and from there one flight up - the stage area is to the right when you arrive.
