Immerse Yourself in Science - The Quantum Computer

Physicist Klaus Mølmer, professor at the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen, gives a lecture on quantum computers: how they work and what they can be used for. The starting point is quantum physics' most paradoxical phenomena and the technological developments they have made possible.

Mølmer has written the popular science book 'Quantum Mechanics - The Wild World of Atoms' and has in recent years worked with composers, musicians, writers and ballet choreographers to connect science and art.

The lecture is broadcast live from the Søauditorierne in Universitetsparken, Aarhus University. It typically lasts two hours with a 20-minute break halfway through and a question session where the audience can submit questions via SMS. Admission is free, and coffee and cake are served.
