Writing Workshop: Narrative Journalism

This workshop explores narrative journalism with a focus on idea development, character portrayal, technique, and storytelling. The instructor is Line Vaaben, a Cavling-nominated journalist and editor at Politiken. She has written the award-winning book "A Predictable Crime - Femicide in Denmark" with forensic pathologist Asser Hedegård Thomsen and published "Those We Trusted" in March 2026.

The workshop is free and aimed at adults but requires registration on Billetto. It takes place in the Othello room at Christianshavn Library. There are no computers available, so bring your own laptop and/or paper and pen - desk space is very limited, and you may need to work with your computer or paper on your lap. The library provides a writing board as a base.

On the 4th floor there is a water station and coffee machine, but no other refreshments - bring your own water bottle. The Othello room is found by following the right wall through the library space and turning at the first corner; it is a side room and easy to spot if you continue along the right wall.
