Wild About Science: The Mystery of the Sleeping Brain — Ørestad Bibliotek, Copenhagen

A third of our lives is spent sleeping - but what actually happens in the brain while we sleep and dream? This is the starting point for this lecture with author Thomas Thaulov Raab.

Raab draws on the book "The Mystery of the Sleeping Brain", which he has written together with Peter Lund Madsen. He traces the history of sleep research, explains the brain's activity during sleep and dreams, and shares practical advice for better sleep at night - including that most people probably sleep more than they think, and that shorter sleep periods don't necessarily affect health.

The lecture is part of Copenhagen Libraries' festival "Wild About Science", which runs through October and November with science communication for adults in many formats at libraries across the city.
