Learn Ceramic Wheel Throwing - 10-Week Course with Marianne Krumbach

A beginner's course in wheel throwing for those new to the craft or looking to strengthen basic techniques. The course starts with centering, pulling cylinders, and throwing simple forms, progressing to trimming, handle attachment, and glazing. You'll also receive an introduction to different stoneware clays suitable for throwing and a review of relevant tools. Each session ends with group cleanup.

The course runs over 10 Mondays from August 17, 2026 to October 26, 2026 - with no class in week 42 (October 12, 2026). The group has space for 10 participants. The price includes 8 kg of clay plus kiln firing and glazing; additional clay can be purchased up to 3 kg. Bring clothes that can get dirty. Tickets cannot be refunded from 14 days before the course starts.

The course takes place in the ceramic studio at Vesterbro Library and Cultural Center. English-speaking participants are welcome - translation is available, but please inform the instructor at the first session.
