Releasing Sexual Shame in Aarhus
Date: 24 August 2026 Time: 19:00-22:00 Venue: Hjerterum, Guldsmedgade 26, Aarhus.
This workshop invites you to explore the depths of shame and guilt, and understand the difference between "I am wrong" and "I did something wrong that doesn't align with who I want to be". This time, the focus is on sexual shame. Taboos keep us from revealing our desires, fantasies, and natural drives out of fear of judgment. Some feel wrong simply for being sexual beings - or the opposite, if you feel asexual. You may have done something at some point - or still do - that is hard to stand by.
In this workshop, we will also explore practical steps to move through shame with self-compassion. Shame is a social wound that requires social healing. When we meet with empathy, shame diminishes, allowing us to connect deeply and meaningfully. Join a profound journey into self-acceptance and step forward as your authentic self. Empathy is not about having the same experiences, but about recognizing the same feelings. We all carry something with us, and this workshop gives us the chance to lighten some of the burden.
It is 50% workshop and 50% lecture, where I dive into everything from the symbolism behind our sexual fantasies, trauma-fetish, body and especially gender shame, and much more. All genders over 18 are welcome - singles and couples.
Warm regards, Lisa Lawrie
