Kresten Osgood Quintet performs at KU.BE in Frederiksberg on Wednesday, 26 August 2026 at 20:00. The concert is part of a five-date Danish tour, with additional stops in Humble, Hundested, Sønderborg and Ry. KU.BE - Kulturhuset Bevægelse - was designed by MVRDV and Adept and opened in 2016 as a cultural and movement hub combining dance, music and creative workshops. The Kresten Osgood Quintet has been active for 15 years and won a Danish Music Award for their 2024 live album. Admission is 80 kroner.

About the venue: KU.BE

KU.BE is Frederiksberg Municipality's culture and movement house, located near Flintholm Station and free to enter. The 3,800 m² building opened in 2016 with a deliberately unconventional design - warped rooms, rounded angles and slides in place of staircases. Concerts, climbing, fitness, communal dining and meeting rooms all share the same space, and the programme is largely shaped by the users themselves. The house is supported by Realdania and Lokale- og Anlægsfonden.

Tenor saxophonist Mads Lund Egetoft is a key figure in Danish avant-garde jazz - recognised for his raw, Archie Shepp-inflected sound and for leading Doom Orchestra, a unique ten-piece horn ensemble built around his tightly structured, hyper-minimalist writing. His credits include the DMA-winning group Boujeloud and ongoing work with Kresten Osgood's quintet.
