Kresten Osgood Quintet, one of Danish jazz's most important ensembles, presents a strong lineup featuring some of the country's finest musicians on saxophone, trumpet, piano, and bass.
Kresten Osgood is a Danish drummer, composer and multi-instrumentalist who has shaped European improvised music since the late 1990s. He co-founded the influential ILK Music label and has performed and recorded with figures such as Paul Bley, Yusef Lateef, Wadada Leo Smith and Derek Bailey. He teaches at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen and created a well-regarded podcast on the history of Danish jazz. In December 2024 his quintet won the Danish Music Awards Jazz prize for Release of the Year with the live album 'Live at H15 Studio'.
Kresten Osgood releases the album 'Evidence' (ILK Music) on September 5, 2025 - a studio recording with saxophonists Jesper Løvdal and Krister Andersson, pianist Heine Hansen and bassist Thomas Vang.
