Erik Kimestad Pedersen (born 1989) is a Norwegian-born trumpeter who has been based in Copenhagen since he began studying at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in 2008. A core member of the Kresten Osgood Quintet, he also plays with Horse Orchestra, Akmee and the free-improv trio EHM, covering ground from hard bop to noise-driven experimentation. Copenhagen Jazz Festival has called him one of the brightest voices on the European trumpet scene.
Kimestad participated in John Andrew Wilhite's debut album as bandleader, 'Bristol Silence' (Motvind Records), released May 8, 2025 - a large ensemble work nominated for awards by both the Norwegian Composers' Association and Norwegian Jazz Forum.
