Music by Johann Philipp Krieger (1649-1725) and Conrad Höffler (1647-1696)

The German Baroque composer Johann Philipp Krieger studied in Copenhagen during the 1660s, yet his beautiful works are still too rarely performed in concert today. Now, this former student returns to Copenhagen and is presented in this morning's concert alongside one of his childhood friends, the composer Conrad Höffler, performed by three virtuosos on their respective instruments.

Friends for Life highlights the music of the often-overlooked Johann Philipp Krieger, who himself lived and worked in Copenhagen for a number of years.
