Lecture: Danskernes Historie Online (Free for members, 60 kr. for guests)

How do you find local history books, guides, and genealogy from your sofa? Byarkivets Venner has invited Per Hundevad Andersen, director of Danskernes Historie Online, to talk about Denmark's largest digitization project in local history, personal history, and genealogy research. Today the collection contains more than 60,000 digitized titles that can be freely searched via slaegtsbibliotek.dk. There are also materials with local connections to Køge. Køge Arkiverne has donated duplicate copies of guides and local history books for digitization, making them accessible to everyone regardless of the reading room's opening hours. Per Hundevad Andersen will discuss the library's work, present upcoming projects, and demonstrate how to find the literature you are looking for.
