Autumn Drawing Course 2026 Thursdays

This autumn, improve your drawing skills at Thorvaldsens Museum! We are once again offering our popular drawing courses with drawing instructor Henrik Leach Hansen.

Course content
On the drawing course with graphic artist and illustrator Henrik Leach Hansen, you will be introduced to anatomy, composition, proportions, planes and more. You will learn fundamental drawing techniques that are useful tools when you want to improve your drawing skills. The teaching naturally draws inspiration from the beautiful surroundings in the museum's rooms, current exhibitions and Thorvaldsen's sculptures. The drawing course is for anyone who wants to improve their drawing skills. It is also aimed at those seeking education in fields such as design, architecture and visual art.

There is limited space on the course. The Thursday group meets on Thursdays from 13:30 to 16:30 (same time every Thursday). The last session is 3 December. There will be no class during the autumn break (week 42, i.e. 15 October). Price: 1800 kr. for all 12 sessions. The ticket price includes museum entry on the days the course is held.

Practical information: The museum provides drawing boards and clips. Participants should bring an HB pencil, a 6B pencil and an eraser. Paper can be purchased at the museum (four different qualities).
