Free Embroidery in the Gallery
Galleri Hannemann, Frederiksberg · 690 kr. · ≈ 92 €
Free embroidery is an open approach to needlework where you use simple techniques to work freely with your own ideas, motifs and expression - on clothing, tablecloths, bedding or other textiles. No prior experience is needed, and the course is structured so that ideas and motifs can develop as you work.
The course includes an introduction to basic techniques, transferring your own motif onto textile, and tools to develop your own designs. You'll take home an embroidered piece and various samples. Light lunch, coffee, tea and refreshments are included, and all materials are provided - embroidery hoops and needles can be borrowed, but you're welcome to bring your own.
The instructor is Bodil Nordstrøm, trained at Designskolen Kolding with a background in graphic design and illustration. She has further studied free embroidery, including at Kunsthåndværkerskolen Capellagården in Sweden.
The course takes place at Galleri Hannemann, Værnedamsvej 11, Frederiksberg, and is aimed at adults.
