California Dreaming

California Dreaming returns to Rotationen in autumn 2026 following the sold-out 2024 concert. On stage are soloists Jimmy Jørgensen, Kaya Brüel, Bjørn Fjæstad and Tamra Rosanes, led by conductor Kennet Lauridsen, performing songs from the Californian music scene of the 1960s and 1970s. The concert draws from Laurel Canyon - the artist colony where The Byrds rehearsed Mr. Tambourine Man, Frank Zappa held auditions, and songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Carole King and James Taylor left their mark. Tamra Rosanes brings her personal connection to the era, having experienced Woodstock firsthand. The concert's title comes from The Mamas & The Papas' classic, but encompasses the broader spirit of Laurel Canyon.

Tickets and seating: Concert menu tickets include reserved seating at numbered tables at the front of the venue. Standard tickets include reserved seating at numbered tables at the back. Table numbers are assigned upon arrival. If you have purchased tickets together, you will be seated together automatically. If tickets were purchased under different order numbers but you wish to sit at the same table, email rotationen@sidesporet.dk with the relevant order numbers.

Concert menu at Hotel Sidesporet (Social Seating) - 295 kr.: Two-course menu: Starter: Soy-marinated tuna, toppings and bread. Main course: Slow-roasted beef tenderloin, seasonal vegetables, potatoes and sauce. Arrival at the hotel 17:30-18:00, dinner served at 18:00. Dinner is served in the courtyard as standard, but you may be seated in other areas of the hotel. Allergies must be reported by the day before to rotationen@sidesporet.dk - remember to include your order number.
