Creedence Special

Creedence Special explores the story of Creedence Clearwater Revival - a band whose intense five years from 1968 to 1972 still resonate more than 50 years later.

The evening alternates between music and storytelling: from the band's origins in 1959 through their turbulent breakup in 1972, with anecdotes ranging from heartwarming to heartbreaking. Why did John Fogerty refuse to play his own songs for 15 years after the split? What really happened between the Fogerty brothers, a rift that was never reconciled? There are also lighter stories behind the music.

The songs are performed live by Creedence Special, including classics such as "Proud Mary", "Down on the Corner", "Willie and the Poor Boys" and "Heard it through the Grapevine". The band features Peter Smith on vocals and guitar, Jesper Bo Nielsen on drums, Ivar Lind Greiner on bass and vocals, and Lars Thordahl on guitar.
